MyAddress is a small and handy Mac tool that lets you see both your public and private IP addresses.

Such an application is designed mainly for users whose IP changes often and want to be notified every time this happens.

After installing, the program integrates into the top menu bar of your desktop as a small icon. This way, it stays right there at hand for quick IP interrogation every time you need to know what your address is at a given moment. The interface is plain and very simple. Along with IP information, you have access to a brief computer system report. Namely, the main window displays in real time the status of your CPU usage, the free memory left, and the storage capacity of your hard disk. I personally like the way this information is displayed, since it is intended mainly for visual perception, rather than for an extensive and complicated study of computer system data.

You can enable the program to notify you automatically whenever your IP address changes. The notification may consist of a pop-up window that appears on your screen or a message received via e-mail. In addition, the tool has an iCloud-related feature which enables you to update your IP address each time you access the above-mentioned computing service.

The program is good and can be set to open at system's start up. It’s worth being installed for its concise and instant report on CPU, RAM, and HDD usage. Yet, its main attribute resides in the ability to monitor each modification of your IP address. If you happen to use a VPN or any other method meant to change your IP on a regular basis, a utility like MyAddress will be of great help. It lets you know for sure if your address has really changed, so that you can navigate freely through the Internet.
