Musictube 1.0

Musictube allows you to play music from YouTube on your Mac. It is a great idea for an application, in all honesty.

The music is already on YouTube, so the developer of this app figured out a way to get the audio of all those music videos and have the app play it. Not only that, Musictube can play full albums, in the order they were released.

You can either search for an artist, song or album. I searched for an album, because I wanted to test how the app did it. A few results were shown for my search and I picked the right one. The app took care of the rest. It displayed album art on the left part of the screen and the songs on the right. I could click on any song and play it and then pause and stop like I would on YouTube. The quality of the music was very, very good. I couldn't tell it wasn't actually a CD or MP3 file I was listening to. If you are into singing, you will be happy to know that the app also downloads lyrics automatically.

You can download and test the application for free. You can use it indefinitely too, but a nag screen will appear constantly and the sound will be muted until you close it.

In short, this is a great app for music fans. With it, you won't really need to download music again.
