Memory Clean lets you free up memory to speed up your Mac.

Memory Clean is a system maintenance tool that allows you to keep an eye on your free RAM memory and take action if it gets too low.

The application runs on the menubar. Its icon shows the amount of free RAM memory that your Mac is running on. Left-clicking on the icon brings up the main window, which shows the active, inactive, free, wired, used and total amount of memory. From here you can start the memory cleaning process. I don't really know the specifics of what the application does to clean your memory, but in my testing, my system went from having 250 megabytes of RAM to 2.5 gigabytes, in less than a minute.

One of the great features of this application is its ability to monitor the memory levels and warn you when the free memory goes below a set threshold. When that happens, by default, the menubar icon turns red. You can optionally have the application automatically clean the memory when the threshold is reached.

During the memory cleaning process, your Mac may get slow and unresponsive. This happened to me even after the process was done, but after a few minutes everything went back to normal.

In the last update, some bugs were fixed and the maximum threshold for automatic memory cleaning is now set to 20%.
