MacGourmet Deluxe is an application that helped me plan family meals and special dinners, gave me ideas about what to cook when I had no inspiration, made me enjoy cooking and drew my family appreciation for the new recipes I have tested.
The first benefit of this program is that I have given up all pieces of paper containing recipes collected from various sources. Instead, I am now enjoying a nice, well organized, easily searchable file.
When entering a recipe, users have instant access to all the information about ingredients, directions, preparations, notes, nutritional values, and even a picture for knowing the final result. More than that, MacGourmet Deluxe allows to add steps to recipes, such as details, images, tags and highlighting for further use.
It is a very handy tool when you're having guests and you don't know the quantities needed to prepare the meal. The program includes a Mealplan feature which allows to simply drag and drop a recipe and a printable shopping list is available.
In addition to things related to food, this application has a Wine Notes feature that allows you to catalog information, such as winery, region, sub-region, vintage and style of favorite wine. By recording all the tasting and winery notes, and why not, saving a picture next to it, users can keep memory of that wonderful glass of wine.

A solid recipe management app - I use it nearly every day. Syncing is a little flakey now and again but the sheer power of the app makes up for it.
The program allows to free some space on the bookshelves, providing you with all needed information: pictures, ingredients, step-by-step instructions. It is extremely handy, with only one disadvantage – the cost, though it is good enough to pay for. I enjoyed it.
