Mac Amazon Browser is an application that lets you browse Amazon on your desktop. It shows quite a few different categories of products and you can browse those. You still need an Internet connection, because the application gets all of its data from Amazon.com. When you find the product that you want to buy, you can see Amazon.com on the application or open it on a web browser. Safari is used by default.
All in all, this isn't a bad way to browse Amazon. There are some things that I don't like about the app, though. For starters, it only lets me view 10 items at a time. I absolutely must browse sites like Amazon and eBay by seeing as many products as possible without having to refresh a page or going to the next one. There doesn't seem to be a way to increase the number. There is a "sort by" field, but it not always shows the same options. For example, at one time I was able to sort the results by best selling, and when I changed the category that option wasn't there anymore.
All in all, this app works well but hardcore shoppers might not have all the tools that they need.
