LyricsSeeker is a plug-in for iTunes that can automatically retrieve lyrics. Whenever a song is being played in iTunes, LyricsSeeker will search for your lyrics and if it finds them, they will be displayed in a Growl notification window. They will appear there for a few seconds and then disappear. If you click on the notification, you will be taken to a website that shows the lyrics.
There are some settings that you can change. For example, you can disable Growl notifications all together. If you decide to use Growl notifications, you can set the delay. You can set the app to start at login, to open lyrics in the background and to show the lyrics in the notifications. There is also a history mode, which keeps information on past songs, and you can enable or disable this and set the number of songs that stay in the history.
In my testing, the app did find some lyrics, but I was surprised when it didn't find some lyrics for songs that I thought to be very popular. This might be something with the tags of the songs.
LyricsSeeker is a nice tool, and it is worth your time if you regularly look for lyrics when listening to songs.
