Info updated on:

KnockKnock is a Mac application that helps you immediately find malware threats on your computer. The program scans your system and reveals all the found data in a user-friendly interface which can easily be handled even by novice computer users.

Once the scanning process is complete, you can check which are the potential malware threats. They can be under the form of a Kernel extension, login item, authorization plugin, etc. The application identifies the items that are dangerous to your system by using the integrated VirusTotal technology. You also have access to detailed information regarding each of the found malware threats.

Another advantage is that you can export the scan results to a TXT file. This feature comes in handy if you wish to send the offered information to another user and request assistance.

Unfortunately, the program doesn't provide you with a solution for getting rid of the found malware threats. It simply helps you find them and offers you detailed information regarding each of them. However, KnockKnock gives you the exact location of those threats and you can immediately remove them from your Mac by using the Finder application (Mac's default file manager).

Hence, it's worth installing this open-source program on your Mac if the aforementioned aspect doesn't mean much to you. The application is very simple to use and offers you detailed info about the malware threats found.
