Kaspersky Secure Connection can help you surf the Internet more freely by allowing you to protect your online privacy, unblock geo-restricted contents and bypass local ISP rules. It creates a virtual private network between your computer and the outside world, by which all data traffic is encrypted to keep it secure from third parties.

Like most other VPN clients, this one is very easy to use. All you need to do is pick the desired location and click on the “Turn Secure Connection On” button. Fortunately, as you will see, they do not have a very wide network, with most of their servers located in Europe. However, this does not seem to significantly affect connection speeds.

In relation to data security, it is great that they support 256-bit encryption, which is practically undecipherable by third parties. Regrettably, the service does have some limitations. In this respect, its lack of IPv6 support may lead to IP leaking. Moreover, it comes with no killswitch, which could leave your IP unprotected in the event of accidental disconnection.

Kaspersky Secure Connection supports streaming and P2P file sharing; yet, it is a shame that, unlike other VPN service providers, they do not have dedicated servers for these purposes. As to streaming services, it may occasionally fail to unblock some of them, like Netflix and BBC.

In relation to collecting or sharing private data, Kaspersky Secure Connection does not keep logs of such activities as visiting websites or transferring data. On the other hand, they do log about the user’s device, IP address, session duration and volume of data. Likewise, they do not allow anonymous account creation as you must provide such info as a name and email address.

All in all, Kaspersky Secure Connection is a good option if you value connection speed over privacy. It serves to bypass local rules and access some geographically forbidden contents. Besides, you can benefit from protecting your Internet traffic with one of the top antimalware services.

Luckily, there is a free subscription but it does not let you choose the desired location. Instead, it automatically connects you to the fastest and nearest server. While it is good that you can work on an unrestricted number of devices, your total daily traffic will be limited to 200 Mb. These limitations can be skipped by purchasing a Premium subscription.
