iZip Unarchiver is a decompression tool for Mac users who wish to extract files from archives with minimum effort. This program comes as an alternative to Mac's default unpacker (Archive Utility), the difference is the fact that it gives you access to a more comprehensive list of input formats.
With only a few clicks, you can unpack file formats like ZIP, RAR, RPM, ISO, FAT, etc. to any designated folder location. Once the extraction process is complete, the app provides you with immediate access to the decompressed files.
I tested two archive file extensions: ISO and ZIP. In just a few moments, the program successfully extracted all files within the selected archives, without requiring a high amount of CPU resources.
The only thing that I don't like about iZip Unarchiver is that it displays annoying ads where it recommends me to try other programs from the same developer.
To conclude, iZip Unarchiver proves to be a reliable solution when it comes to extracting the archive files from my Mac. The application brings an intuitive interface, supports a wide range of archive formats, and doesn't take long to bring the results.
