iSkysoft PDF Converter is a very complete utility that you can use to convert your PDF files to other formats.

It has a long list of useful features that set it apart from similar applications that I have tried in the past. Perhaps the most important feature that you will find in this app is OCR support. OCR, which stands for Optical Character Recognition, is a nice feature that allows the application to convert scanned PDFs or PDFs that contain images with text, into editable text documents. This can be very useful for when you want to convert older e-books into other formats. Most e-books used to be scanned images not so long ago.

The main application window functions as a drop zone. You can simply drag and drop the file or files that you want to convert onto it and they will be added to your conversion queue. Once added, you can select an output format. The available ones are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ePub, RTF, Image, HTML and TXT. You can convert up to 200 files at the same time. At the bottom of the window, you will notice a small checkbox that reads "Enable OCR". It is important that you remember to check if you want to use the OCR feature.

In conclusion, this converter offers different output format options, it has OCR capabilities and it is quite easy to use. It may not be cheap, but the way I look at it, it is cheaper to buy this and convert 5 books to ePub than having to buy them again just so that you can play them on a different device.
