iSkysoft DVD-Library is a DVD cataloging tool for the Mac. It allows you to create a catalog of every DVD movie that you own and automatically download data about those movies from Amazon. You can view your catalog as a list of your movies or in grid view, which shows a snapshot of the front case of your movies.
You can add a movie by manually typing the name and search for it on Amazon or by scanning its barcode. There are two other options: "New Releases" and "Most Popular" but they didn't work for me. The barcode scanner uses your iSight camera as a scanner. You simply have to hold the barcode in the way that is asked and the app will scan it and tell you what movie it is and download basic information and a short description from Amazon. I found that the scanner worked well and it was quick. It also lets you scan multiple items one after the other without asking you for any input (other than the barcodes; that is).
Once items have been added to the library, you can edit them, add notes and mark them as viewed. If you have a DVD ripper by iSkysoft, there is a button that lets you launch that app and start a ripping process.
All in all, this app works well, it looks great and it makes it easy to scan DVD movies.
