iSkysoft Data Recovery is, as its name states, an application that helps you restore files on your Mac.

There can be numerous reasons why, at some point, you may lose your documents, like accidental deletion, formatting, software crashes, and many other. This program offers you an easy and quick solution for restoring the lost files.

You can choose between four recovery methods: Lost Data Recovery (restores lost data emptied from Trash), Raw Data Recovery (recovers data by "file signature"), Partition Recovery, and Resume Recovery. For the latter file restoration mode you import saved scan results and resume a previous file recovery process.

I like the fact that when it comes to opting for Lost Data Recovery you have access to several scan filters. For instance, you can look only after files of various image formats and minimize the amount of time you spend waiting for the scanning process to complete.

In my testing, I created a folder containing an audio files, sent it to the recycle bin, and emptied it. Afterwards, I went to iSkysoft Data Recovery and selected the Lost Data Recovery option. Unfortunately, the program failed to find the deleted data. However, the app managed to find other files I lost due to accidental deletion few days ago.

Taking into consideration the good and bad aspect regarding this application, I'd say it's still worth installing it on your Mac if you don't mind spending a fair amount of money on a file recovery tool. The program is simple to handle, works with various internal and external drives, and allows you to preview found files before restoring them.
