Inky was created to offer you an alternative to managing, creating, and sorting emails within your default browser or Outlook app.

This program downloads emails directly from your provider without saving your messages or account information in Inky's servers or network. So, your emails can be accessed only by you and no unauthorized user can read them without you giving your permission.

In my testing, I entered the email credentials of a Gmail account. After log in, I noticed that all messages were nicely sorted into groups based on their type. For example, in a collection named Social were stored emails received from services like Pinterest, Facebook, etc. You can also create your own groups of emails by adding tags.

The program also lets you compose and send email to other people, monitor as many email accounts as you like from different providers, sort messages by relevance, and much more.

In addition, the app keeps emails in sync. So, if you read a new email in Inky when you check your Inbox within your default browser, the message will be marked as Read.

Ultimately, I think this program might prove to be of good use to people who are receiving and sending multiple emails per day. Inky helps them easily and quickly find important messages, keep track of notes and tasks lists, etc.

But if you're like me and don't require extra email sorting features, you should continue using Outlook or your default browser for checking your email account.
