iGenres allows users to change the genre images, as they are displayed in the iTunes Grid view. The application includes a huge list of ready-made genres as well as associated images. Users can reset the image assigned to any genre and add their own.
Note that iGenres must be closed if any changes are to occur. I noticed that the utility works with multiple image formats like BMP, JPG, GIF and PNG. With simple drag-and-drop actions you can assign any pictures, regardless of size. iGenres automatically resizes images within the 256 x 256 px limitations.
Although created to work with iTunes 8, the utility functions just as intended for version 10 as well.
Genre names seem to have no order setting at all; this, and the fact that there is no search function available makes it a bit hard to locate a specific genre name, kind or type of entry.
The utility has a very limited functionality as it provides a little color to the iTunes Grid view but nothing else. In spite of that, it does function as designed, even for the few accessibility inconveniences.
