Hugin is an open source image editing utility that enables you to stitch images into quality panoramic pictures.
All you need to do is to import the set of pictures you wish to stitch together, configure the editing settings according to your needs, and export the resulting panoramic image to your local directories. You can always check out the built-in help guide for assistance and read the offered tips to learn how to easily get the quality results you need.
The utility also enables you to use a wide range of shortcut keys for controlling how it operates and immediately complete various types of tasks. Another useful advantage is the fact that Hugin comes with an option to automatically adjust the output settings for you and provide you better panoramic images. The option is called Optimize and can be found in the main menu of the program.
My only problem with this tool is the fact that it’s compatible with quite a few image formats, for both importing and exporting pictures. For example, you cannot import file formats like PSD or SVG aren’t supported by the utility. You can choose only between 3 output formats: TIFF, JPEG, and PNG.
All in all, I think it’s worth installing this free program on your Mac if the aforementioned issue doesn’t mean much to you. It brings you many advantages, works great, and offers you quality panoramic files.
