HostageMaster lets you play Hostage Chess, the highly tactical chess variant. Hostage Chess takes all the usual rules of chess, and adds in the ability for captured pieces to return to the board. This simple change results in an exciting tactical game that can explode with dramatic reversals at a moment's notice. Hostage Chess is every bit as deep as ordinary chess, and abounds with strategies and tactics that are waiting to be discovered. HostageMaster lets you play Hostage Chess on your own computer. The computer can play the White or Black pieces (or both), and can be set to varying strengths. Positions can be saved for later play. The board is completely resizable.
