This program comes as an alternative to using your default Web browser to check your Gmail account. The utility lives on your Menu Bar, is very simple to handle, and uses minimum CPU resources while running on your Mac.

You can choose between two display modes: Desktop or Mobile. Personally, I prefer the Mobile view as it's more intuitive and has a nicely-designed interface. You can read new messages, send emails to your friends or co-workers, and organize your Inbox.

The program also lets you know when a new message is received by changing the color of its icon from your Menu Bar. This feature might come in handy if you're waiting for an important email and wish to know exactly when it's delivered to your Inbox.

Another important feature is that you can define global hotkeys for immediately starting a new email or revealing the main window of the program on your screen.

This application also provides you with an option to automatically check and correct spelling.

To summarize, the utility proves to be a reliable solution for monitoring your Gmail account from your desktop. It's simple to use, has easy to configure settings, and is free.
