FreeVoipDeal is a VOIP (Voice over IP) solution. The application lets you place calls to pretty much any country in the world from your Mac or Windows PC. On its website, there is a comprehensive list of its calling rates to all the countries that it supports. And after comparing those rates with those of a similar and more popular service like Skype, I could determine that this one is considerably cheaper. For example, if one were to use Skype to call a mobile phone in Brazil, the cost per minute would be 22.1 cents. With FreeVoipDeal, the same call costs about 8 cents. This is one of the markets in which FreeVoipDeal is a lot cheaper than Skype. Also, with FreeVoipDeal when you put 10 Euros in your account, you get free calls for 120 days to select locations around the globe. The list of free locations can be found in the rates webpage.
The FreeVoipDeal application, which can be downloaded for free, provokes mixed feelings, as to me. On the one hand, I like it because the graphical user interface is really simple, and you can launch it quickly and start calling right away. On the other, the application design doesn't invoke trust in me. Since this service isn't popular, I feel kind of wary to deposit money in my account. It might be that I am just exaggerating, but the fact that you can't try the service before putting money in your account doesn't help.
I wasn't able to test the call quality of this app, because I didn't have any money in my account. So, basically, the good things that I can say about this app are that it seems to offer very cheap international calling rates and that it has a simple interface. However, I hadn't heard about this app before writing this review, so I can't vouch for it in anyway.
