Fragmentarium is an open source, cross-platform IDE for creating, editing, and exploring pixel-based graphics on the GPU. Features include a multi-tabbed IDE with GLSL syntax highlighting, user widgets to adjust parameter settings, high-resolution tile renderings, progressive rendering for high quality anti-aliasing and distributed ray tracing, HDR (RGBE .HDR) support and tone mapping, support for simple animations, and modular GLSL programming with the ability to include other fragments.
