EtreCheck 3.3

EtreCheck is a Mac program that might prove to be of good use if you need to share information about your system with a support team member. This application scans your system and gives you access to a report showing detailed info about the current state of your Mac.

Once you launch the utility on your Mac, it automatically starts scanning your system. As soon as the scanning process is complete, a detailed report will be displayed on the main screen of the program.

You can copy the offered info to your clipboard, print or export the report, and share the system details via email. This app will offer you details about the current state of your disk, let you know about various system errors (if present), inform you which of your programs use significant amounts of CPU resources, etc.

In my testing, the application took a while to scan the current state of my system. However, it didn't slow down the performance of my Mac in the process and the offered report was quite comprehensive. Another bad aspect is that the program supports only one output format when it comes to exporting the reports (RTF).

Still, EtreCheck provides you with a quick and simple way to fetch and share info about your system. It's easy-to-use, brings you many useful hints, and is open source.
