Elimisoft Duplicate Finder is a simple application that scans your computer for duplicate files. Once detected, you can select the items you wish to remove so you can regain valuable disk space on your Mac.
The program opens with a simple interface that lets you select the drives you intend to scan. Before enabling the duplicate search operation, it is advisable to go to Preferences in order to set custom scan criteria. This way, you can narrow the search to specific types of files and sizes larger than given values. Unfortunately, you don't have the option to scan for a particular file format or a size interval of your choice. Yet, the scan results are displayed by categories of files. You can see them in a list or in a detailed preview. After selecting the items to remove, you have the chance to see the amount of space you may regain after the deletion. However, it seems to be a problem with scanning large drives. Therefore, if the entire hard disk is the source of scanning, the application may close instantly, without any warning.
In short, Elimisoft Duplicate Finder offers an easy solution to detect the useless duplicate files that clutter your system for no reason. Deleting the duplicates is done only after buying the program and entering the activation number. In my opinion, the price is rather high considering the features it offers.
