DropDMG 3.1

DropDMG is a disk image management tool for the Mac. It can be used to create and work with disk images in a way that is easy and that saves some time.

You can do most of what this application does with Disk Utility or with free tools, but DropDMG gives you a lot of options in a single, easily accessible window, and that is its strong point.

There are many things that you can do with this app. You can of course create new DMG files with it, and they can be encrypted using either AES-128 or AES-256. You can also create different types of images and even compressed archive files. TAR, ZIP, TAR.GZ, and TAR.BZ2 are supported. So are ISO and CDR. DropDMG can also split files into several parts. All these configurations can be customized in the Preferences window.

One great thing about this app is that the configurations that you apply for one task can be saved and then used for other tasks.

In short, DropDMG is a good app that can be of use to you if you often deal with disc images.
