DeDockSkype was originally created for Skype 2., and the purpose of this app is to allow the user to run Skype in a minimal mode were the dock icon for Skype is removed and it will not show up in the application switcher.
Sam Marshall originally created this because his workflow with Skype is one in which it must be running but rarely need to use it actively.
Configure Application Dock Tile tool disables the "Show in Dock" function.
Account Switcher app will automate switching between user accounts on the Mac.
