Color Picker is a capable program that has been created by NSCoding team for graphic designers and Cocoa developers. This Mac utility provides you with a quick and efficient way to identify color codes on your computer and paste them within other third-party applications.
The tool brings you a straightforward interface where you can access Mac's default Color Palette app and select the preferred shade. Afterwards, Color Picker displays the code suiting the indicated shade.
What's more, the program provides you with an integrated magnifier utility which you can use to "pick" colors from your screen and identify their codes. You can copy the offered codes to your clipboard or save them within a favorites list for later reference.
The one thing that's missing from this application is the ability to use it on multiple monitors. Most developers and graphic designers work on various displays and this aspect might prove to be a significant disadvantage.
All in all, Color Picker is a helpful utility. However, if you require a tool that provides you with multi-monitor support, I'd suggest you to try other programs.
- Immediately identifies color codes
- Lets you save color codes for later reference
- Allows you to define global hotkeys
- Doesn't provide you with multi-monitor support
