CloudPull is an application that lets you backup your Google account. It can download Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Documents and Google Reader data to your Mac.

All you need to do is provide the application with your account details, and it will take care of the rest. CloudPull supports Gmail labels, and it can even import entire labels into Mail.app automatically. Of course, you can also import all your mails to Mail.app, if you want to. Similarly, your contacts can be imported into Address Book, your Google Calendar entries can be imported into iCal. And the same goes for your documents.

When you type in your account details, you can select what you want to backup. I chose to backup only my e-mails. The application then validated my account username and password and showed me a list of every e-mail on my Gmail account. It also started backing them up. The entire process took a while, because I had gigabytes of e-mails on my account. But the process was very smooth and it required nearly no user input.

There is a nice feature called backup exclusion rules. This lets you set rules for e-mails that you do not want to download based on certain conditions.
