Clone Fighter is designed to help you find and remove duplicate files and folders. Therefore, you will be able to regain valuable disk space so your Mac system can perform better and complete the running processes faster and without errors. Also, you will create room for other internal data savings, without being forced to resort to external storage drives.
The application is clear-cut and easy to use. The design doesn't resemble similar tools, yet you will figure out right away how to manage the provided functions. All you need to do is select the drive or the folder you wish to scan and enable the search. To make the scan process last less, you can go to Preferences and make a series of settings that will narrow the search of files to specified size range. Also, you can ask the app to ignore 0-sized files, hidden items and determined folders. Unfortunately, you don't have the option to apply filters like file types or specified extensions before starting the search. However, once the scan operation is over, you can view all the results gathered in one panel or sorted by categories of files. The tool calculates automatically the size taken by each category so you can see what type of duplicates takes most disk space. Then, you can manually select the items you wish to remove or enable the Smart Select function that automatically checks and deletes the items considered by the app clones of originals. more
