ClamXav is an antivirus created for Mac. This utility helps you remove various types of malware threats from your computer, has simple to configure settings, and immediately gets the job down without slowing down the performance of your Mac in the process.
You need to install an additional tool before scanning your system for malware threats. Once the utility is installed on your computer, you can select the folders you wish to scan and wait for the results. The application immediately reveals the found information in the same window.

We've just lost any confidence we had in the web sites opinions and advice.
It also needs to be manually configured to protect the specific parts of your Mac you want shielded and newbies would find this difficult to set up correctly for maximum protection. And even if this was done correctly, it would only provide very poor protection against Mac Malware.
