Bartunes 1.1

Bartunes is a simple Menu Bar program that enables you to control the music being played within the iTunes application.

This Mac utility uses a small amount of CPU resources, communicates well with iTunes, and displays information regarding the currently played song onto your Menu Bar.

After you launch the iTunes app, you can click one of Bartunes' control buttons (located on your Menu Bar) and start playing your favorite music. The application also enables you to rate the songs you play within iTunes, displays the album artwork for any track you listen, and brings you an option to make Bartunes a startup item (automatically launch at Mac log in).

The only aspect that bothers me about this tool, though it's not that big of a deal, is the fact that it doesn't let me define global hotkeys and control the music being played within iTunes by using my keyboard keys. But as I mentioned before, it's just a whim of mine.

As a conclusion, I'd say it's worth installing Bartunes on your Mac computer. The application provides you with a simple way to control the music you play within iTunes, is very easy to handle, and comes without a price tag.
