Aunsoft iMedia Converter for Mac 1.3

Aunsoft iMedia Converter for Mac is a complete conversion solution that comes with a video converter and DVD and Blu-ray ripper.

With these tools, you can convert files among a variety of formats and Blu-ray and DVD movies into video files that you can later play on your Mac or other multimedia playback devices. This is one of the most complete conversion solutions that I have tried on the Mac. It is also the most expensive one. But anything with a Blu-ray ripper on the Mac will be expensive.

The application has a good graphical user interface. It consists of a toolbar at the top from where you can load DVD and Blu-ray discs, disc folders, file folders and files. You can also access the video editor, which allows you to trim and crop your videos and adjust some of their properties like brightness and contrast. At the bottom of the screen, you will find the conversion settings. There is a drop-down menu that contains all the available conversion profiles. There are profiles for lots of devices, including, of course, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, etc. The output format support is excellent.

While working on it, I converted a sample MKV file to the iPad H.264 profile. The conversion process was fast and the resulting file looked and sounded very good.
