AppShelf is an application license manager for Mac OS X. It allows you to store all your serial keys in a single location, so that you don't have to look through thousands of e-mails every time you have to enter a serial number.
Once you have added a few apps to the list with all their licensing information, you can either browse them on a list or use the spotlight icon system; the same one used in Finder.
In my testing, I found that AppShelf works like a charm. It is really easy to add applications onto your list, and, in my case, AppShelf even found apps that I use under Windows with Parallels.
One important feature that I think this application is missing is security. There is no way to password-protect your database that I can see. I wouldn't want anyone to simply be able to open the application and steal all my expensive software.
Pros
- Good scanning options
- Good design
Cons
- No security options
