Angry IP Scanner is an efficient IP address and port scanner for Mac. This program might prove to be of good use to system administrators who wish to determine if there are any unauthorized devices connected to their network. With its help, you can identify the current status of any of the nearby IP addresses, MAC addresses, hostnames, etc.

On the main window of the application, you will notice several fields which need to be filled. You will need to enter your base IP address, mask, and hostname. Optionally, the program will give you the ability to select the maximum amount of displayed results (100 by default). Then, simply click the "Start" button and wait for the utility to complete the given task.

You will be provided with a list containing all of the connected devices, with IP addresses, hostnames, ports details, etc. The program lets you sort the results by IP addresses, hostnames, etc.

In my testing, the utility immediately completed the scanning process. Another advantage is the fact that you can export the results list. The application supports the following formats: TXT, CSV, XML, and LST.

In conclusion, it's worth installing this free program on your Mac. It's effective, simple to use, and provides you with accurate results.
