Ambientweet is a simple Twitter client for Mac that helps you keep track of the latest tweets posted by the people you follow. This application comes as a quicker and easier alternative to checking your Twitter account and timeline with your default browser.
After you log in to your Twitter account, the program starts displaying the newest tweets (one after another) in a small window. You can choose from the main menu of the app which tweets to be displayed on the screen (from a certain Twitter user or about a precise subject), sort Twitter posts according to your needs, and much more.
This program can also be used to enter new tweets on your timeline and reply or re-tweet a certain Twitter post.
The one thing I don't like about this Mac application is the fact that it doesn't allow you to check Twitter users profiles directly from its interface. You need to use your default browser to do so.
As for the rest, I'm happy with the way Ambientweet works. The program is very simple to handle, helps you navigate through Twitter posts by hitting certain combinations of keys, and comes without a price tag.
