Aimersoft DVD Studio Pack is a pack of DVD tools that includes three different applications: Mac DVD Ripper, Mac Video Converter and Mac DVD Copy. These are also sold separately, but buying them in this pack will result in good savings. The first application lets you rip your DVD movies into video files that you can later play on your Mac and other devices. The second app is a fully-featured video converter that can open pretty much every major format and it has excellent output format support. Lastly, the third utility is a DVD duplication tool. It can be used to create perfect copies (1:1) of your movies. The application lets you save the copy to a folder on your Mac, or burn it directly, if you have a DVD burner.
The file that you download from the developer's website contains two versions of the application; one for PowerPC and another for Intel-based Macs. It is nice to see that some developers are still supporting older Macs.
I tested both the DVD ripper and the video converter. I was satisfied with the quality of the conversions, as well with the format support in both applications. The two first applications include a video editor that lets you trim and crop your videos and adjust some of their properties.
In conclusion, if you were looking into buying more than one of the apps included in this pack, then you would be saving some money if you buy the suit instead. The apps work well and they include the functionality that most similar solutions offer.
