This program was created for Mac users who got tired of the same old blue icons for their folders. The application provides you with a very simple way to change the appearance of directory icons, supports batch processing, and immediately applies the necessary changes.
Add Folder Icons lets you create your own output profiles or, how they're called in this app, "styles". You can configure the app to change a folder icon with a random picture from the selected directory. This way, you can know exactly the files you can find by opening this folder.
The program lets you import as many directories as you like, preview icon styles, etc. In each new icon you can show up to 4 pictures. You can configure the app to crop each photo so it fits in a square, add white border to the images, etc. You can have access to additional options if you download and install an extra tool (SlipCover) on your Mac.
The one thing that doesn't seem to be working is the built-in help guide. Nothing happens if you click over a chapter within this manual. However, the program is intuitive enough that you won't require a trip to a guide.
All in all, this application comes in handy to Mac users who want to customize the appearance of their folder icons. In addition, you don't have to pay a buck in order to use it on your computer.
