Activity Timer is a simple Menu Bar utility that comes in handy to people who wish to be informed when it's time for a break from work or when the deadline for a task is met. The application is very intuitive, provides you with easy to configure settings, and comes without a price tag.
This program places an icon on your Menu Bar from where you can change the way it operates. You can add as many activity items as you like, each with its own interval of time and description. For example, you can enter "Fitness program" as activity info and 30 minutes as the interval. Click the Start button and the app will immediately start counting down time. You can always pause, resume or stop the timer.
Furthermore, the application can display the countdown timer in your Menu Bar, next to its icon. This way, you will know exactly how much time you have left until the timer hits zero. Another great aspect is that you can define a global hotkey for immediately starting or stopping the countdown timer.
Sadly, the application occasionally crashes. In my testing, the program crashed several times when I tried to add new activity timer. My guess is that you should give the app a try on your Mac and see if you encounter the same issue.
