1Player is an application that enables you to watch movies and play music on your computer. This program works with a wide range of media formats, brings you a straightforward interface, supports drag-and-drop action, and lets you load subtitles when playing videos.
The app comes as an alternative to QuickTime playback (Mac's default app) and it offers support for more media formats. For instance, in order to play an AVI file with QuickTime, you need to install additional codecs. 1Player lets you watch the aforementioned file format without downloading and installing any tool on your Mac.
Another good thing about this media player is the fact that it offers you various subtitle configurations. You can change the style and size of the font according to your requirements.
However, the program comes with a crucial disadvantage. During my testing, I experienced some video quality issues. To be exact, the movie occasionally kept freezing while the audio was still playing.
As a conclusion, I'd say you can easily find better solutions for playing videos and songs on your Mac computer. As I mentioned before, this application brings an important flaw and even though it comes without a price, it still doesn't worth trying 1Player.
