1Player is a program that comes as an alternative to using QuickTime, Mac's default player, for watching movies. The application features an intuitive interface, works with many video formats, allows you to import subtitle files if necessary, and is free of charge.
The main window of the utility looks a lot like QuickTime's interface. It features a player control bar that disappears when playing a movie and has Play, Pause, and Stop buttons. The player also gives you access to an option to toggle fullscreen mode and a bar for adjusting the sound volume.
In my testing, the program didn't work 100%. For instance, it crashed one time while I was trying to import an MKV file. I was able to watch the movie in question after I restarted the application and imported the video again.
Other than that, not much more can be said about this program. It comes with a small amount of features and doesn't work OK.
In my opinion, it isn't worth installing this free program on your Mac. You can find numerous video players that provide you with plenty of playback settings, work with more video formats, and come without price tags. One good example is the VLC Player application.
Magic Media Marker's main purpose is to process video files and make them pretty in iTunes and on your Apple Devices.
