1Player is a media player that comes as an alternative to Mac's QuickTime for watching movies and listening to audio files. This program is compatible with multiple media formats, supports drag-and-drop feature, and has a user-friendly interface.
When testing the player I imported various types of files, such as MP4, MTS, AVI, and MKV. I also managed to load SRT files (subtitles) with just a few clicks.
Sadly, the program doesn't work 100%. In my testing it stopped working properly after I resized the main window. The interface of the utility disappeared from the desktop and I had to restart 1Player to be able to watch the video in question. Also, the program ran slow when importing movies.
Moreover, it is missing many useful playback settings. For example, it didn't allow me to adjust the imported subtitle files (change font style or size, alter position on screen, etc.). Furthermore, I could not create and save playlists.
Even though this program is said to be compatible with more media formats than Mac's default tool (QuickTime), it provides a small amount of useful features and doesn't work. You can easily find better media players for your Mac.
