Gemini: The Duplicate Finder is, as its name suggests, an application that helps you find unnecessary file copies (duplicates) and get rid of them (send them to Trash). This program allows you to scan local drives as well external drives, preview the search results, and get rid of the duplicates with just a few clicks.
After you select the input folder and click the Scan button, the app immediately checks for any file duplicates. There are two possibilities: there are no file copies present at the designated drive location or the program presents you a list containing the identical files that were found.
An important advantage of this application is the fact that it allows you to preview the files within the scan result list. You can play any of the found videos, listen to audio files, and check the image duplicates before sending them to Trash. After you decide which file is the original and which one is the duplicate, you can either send the copy to Trash or delete it permanently.
