WebCamAddict is an application that lets you access snapshots from different web cameras around the world.

It comes preloaded with 9 locations: Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Sydney, and Naples; but more can be found by scanning a database from within the application. Also, if you happen to know the URL of a webcam, you can manually add it to the application.

Apparently, the application doesn't refresh the web cameras automatically. You have to right-click on the image and then click on refresh. I played around with the application for 10 or so minutes and I didn't notice any changes to the images. The date stamps on them showed that the images were from today in most cases. There also was one that was taken a couple of months ago, however. I don't think all these web cameras are down at the same time, it might just be that the app isn't working.

In addition to the fact that the images weren't updated at all, the application crashed twice while I was testing it. It first froze for a minute or so and then gave me an error message.

To sum up, I really can't recommend this application. It does load images from webcams across the globe, but it doesn't update them and it is very unstable.
