Check out a collection of instruments for tracking and modifying the work of your Mac. Display the information about the currently active processes, the work of hardware components, the temperature and load on memory and processing units, etc. Compare data in real time.

Translucent Lite is a very simple system monitoring tool. It displays two icons on your menubar that show the state of your CPU and memory usage. You can somewhat customize the icons from the preference window, but there really isn't much that you can change.

By default, the color used for both icons is blue. If you have a dual-core CPU, you will see two small bars and a larger bar on your menubar. The first two bars represent the usage of your central processing unit (CPU). And changes in usage are displayed in real-time. The bar on the right shows how much memory is being using by your system. In the case of the CPU, you can customize how many cores you want to display and the color you want to use. And for the memory, you can choose to display how much memory is used or how much memory is free. These are basically two ways of displaying the same information, but some users prefer to see how much is left rather than how much is being used.

All in all this is a nice application if you only need to see CPU and memory usage. There are only a few things that you can change, though.
