TotalTerminal is a simple-to-use plugin for the OSX terminal application. In simple terms, TotalTerminal allows you to interact directly with the UNIX operating system beneath Mac OS X through the Visor Window.

TotalTerminal enables you to quickly access the Visor Window for interacting with Unix. TotalTerminal lets you customize all the aspects of the Visor Window, such as: start-up parameters, look, window grouping, encoding, settings and other features. You will be able to define the hot-keys that slide down or up the terminal window (Visor). The proficient users that are used to working with Unix will appreciate the fact that TotalTerminal offers several different preset console (Visor Window) skins. Moreover, TotalTerminal allows you to easily customize the look of the Visor Window by enabling you to change the color of the text and background, use different character sets, or use various shells. You can also save different settings and quickly switch between configurations by defining a hot-key to each personalized preset.
