Tomb Raider 2 is a third-person adventure game featuring Lara Croft. It is now a classic game that defined a genre for years to come. It gave the player a lot of freedom to investigate the game world and it featured excellent puzzles that were at times a bit too hard, but always satisfying when solved. Tomb Raider 2 has now been ported to the Mac, and this port is of great quality.
If you are a modern gamer, and you haven't played this game before, you will probably be a bit disappointed at the graphics. But when this game came out, it was gorgeous. Now, you can notice all the pixelation in the graphics and all the graphical artifacts. The Mac version doesn't really have any graphical settings that you can change. You are given the option of playing the game in a full-screen mode or in a window. And that is all you can change. Both variants looked good.
I know people who are devout fans of Lara Croft and Tomb Raider, and they will play this game without a moment's hesitation.
In short, this is a nice port of Tomb Raider 2 for the Mac. It works very well, and it should help bring the Tomb Raider world back to the Mac. I just hope the newer games will someday be released for the Mac as well.
