Tipard DVD to MOV Suite for Mac is a video converter and a DVD ripper in one. The suite includes two Tipard apps: DVD to MOV ripper and MOV Converter. By the looks of it, they are the older versions of those applications, since the graphical user interfaces are different, and, honestly, older-looking. With these apps, you can convert a DVD movie into MOV files and convert MOV files to other formats, and the other way around.
Both apps come with a video editor that can be used to adjust the brightness, contrast and saturation, to trim and crop videos or add watermarks. The design of the video editor leaves a lot to be desired. I don't understand what they tried to do with it. It works well, though.
The video converter doesn't have any input format limitations, so you can open most popular video formats, and, strangely, MOV isn't the only output format supported. Most of the popular formats are listed there as well.
The DVD Ripper has some on-screen help to guide you through the process and it also doesn't have output format limitations, so you can use this to convert to MOV files, but many other formats are supported as well.
