Tidy Up 4.0

Tidy Up is a capable program designed for Mac users who wish to easily and quickly find identical files on their computers.

This application features various scan filters, allows you to preview all found file copies before sending them to Trash, and supports a wide range of formats.

The utility provides you with a very intuitive interface so any Mac user, no matter of his or hers computer experience, can immediately get the duplicate scanning results. You can choose between two scanning modes: Simple and Advanced. The latter brings you additional scan filters such as based on content, type, time modified, label, and many others.

In my testing, I selected a 8GB folder from my Desktop and the Simple Mode scan. The application offered me a results list within moments and allowed me to preview all found duplicates. It was very simple to get through the steps even without reading the integrated help guide.

Another good aspect is that this program also scans your iTunes library (it opens iTunes app when the scanning process starts) for any missing files (songs that can be found within iTunes but their folder location is now changed). This feature comes in handy to users who like to have a clean and organized iTunes library.

As a conclusion, Tidy Up is now in my top 3 duplicate finders list. This utility provides you with numerous features, immediately scans of selected folders and volumes, and comes with an acceptable price.
