SubnetCalc

Interpret IP addresses and create masks on your Mac.

SubnetCalc is a Mac utility that might prove to be of good use to network administrators. With its help, you can interpret an IP address and immediately find detailed information, such as its class type and bitmap, the correspondent binary, and hexadecimal format, etc.

The only things you need to do when working with SubnetCalc are to provide an IP address and click the "Calc" button. The utility will then provide you with the information you need, without slowing down the performance of your Mac while generating the needed data.

The main window of the tool is divided into 4 panels: Address, Subnets, Subnets/Hosts, and CIDR. A great advantage is that it can copy to your clipboard all of the offered information or export the report to a CSV file, a feature which comes in handy if you want to share the IP address interpretation.

The only thing I'd change about this program would be to add an integrated help manual which might come in handy to people who are new with this type of Mac utilities.

Other than that, nothing bad can be said about SubnetCalc. It does exactly what's being said on the homepage of the developer, works flawlessly, and comes without a price tag.
