SoX Wrap provides a robust graphic user interface to the SoX command line audio processing tool. With this application you will be able to convert one or multiple music tracks to a wide impressive range of formats including Aiff, Mp3, Ogg, Raw, and Wav.

Users can specify a few conversion parameters like sample rate, data encoding, data size, volume and the number of channels used. There are however no available presets for quick handling these parameters (different sound quality) and converting to audio formats accepted by different mobile devices.

For those familiar with SoX, the command line utility is much more than just a converter, but in fact an audio processing tool that can add effects, play and record audio files. In spite of that, none of these features are available in SoX Wrap.

The utility can convert multiple audio files simultaneously and auto-detect input formats. These two features make it very easy to convert entire audio folders regardless of their extensions.

SoX Wrap currently is no different than most audio converters available. It supports a huge number of formats but most of them you will never use; some more popular formats like Wma or 3gp are not available.
