With this program, you can open smb:// URLs in the Finder from your browser. Finder isn't a smb handler, you can't assign the Finder to open smb links from Firefox or Safari. smbMount will pass those links to the Finder using the 'mount volume' Apple Event and they will open as in the 'Connect to Server' menu item.
It will allow users of DropITConverter to download files in the background.
It makes a link on the clipboard to the first selected record in Address Book.
