Remind Me Later is an excellent plug-in or tool for iCal. It allows you to add events to iCal in the easiest way I have seen so far. If iCal has one fault is that it is not really easy to add events. It always requires you to go through a few variables and that takes time. Remind Me Later saves your time by doing most of the work for you. All you need to add a new event to iCal with Remind Me Later is to write what you want to add and when to add. You can call the app up from the menu bar or use a keyboard hotkey. Then you can type something like: "Go to the bar February 15 7pm." Remind Me Later will automatically detect the date and time and what to add to the calendar. And, well, add it. iCal won't be opened but when you do open it, the event will be there. By default, Remind Me Later adds alarms to added events 30 minutes before them, and you can change that from the settings window. You can also change the keyboard hotkey from there.
Remind Me Later is an excellent tool and one that makes me want to use iCal more. It seems to be open-source and make sure you check this developer's other nice apps.
