RadioClock is an application that lets you listen to online radio stations. The graphical user interface resembles the looks of one of the classic radio alarm clocks. However, this app doesn't have an alarm function. The clock shows the date at the top, and there is a big analog clock in the middle of the window. There are a few controls on the screen as well. There are power, radio, and station toggles, and two sliders that let you set the volume and brightness of the screen.
RadioClock can access SHOUTcast and other online radio stations. You can browse the list by country or by popularity. There is a search field that you can use to find a station by name.
The USA has a a great number of working radio stations. Other countries are not so lucky. Most of the ones that I tried in the USA worked like a charm. The quality of the streams varies a lot. Some sounded excellent, whereas others sounded muffled and with interference.
There is a nice sound effect that is played when the app tries to connect to a radio station. It is an elegant solution to avoid total silence.
